"Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world, he who folows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life."John 8:12 Jesus is telling the people that He will be their light. Have you ever tried to walk around in the dark? Chances are, you won't get where you're going, and you'll end up bumping into things and getting hurt. But when you follow Jesus, He lights the way. That doesn't mean it will be easy, but at least you can see the path. Darkness is commonly associated with depression. Jesus doesn't offer this. He offers light, joy, if you only follow him. Jesus is inclusive in His statement. He is the light of the world, not just for one or two people, but for everyone. | Bible study | ||||||||||||||||

| My testimony |
I became a christian when I was twelve. I came to Him broken after being abandoned by my dad. He became my father, and has given me the love I need to survive. Since I have come to Christ, I have been through many trials...but He has delivered me from each one. He has healed me from anorexia, and used my five year bout for His glory. He has overcome my brokenness after a date rape. He has filled my every need. Now I am preparing for a career in missions and look forward to it with eagerness. | ||||||||||||||||
